THE BEGINNING
In 2017, Lazar Radkov founded "Caps for the Future"—a plastic cap recycling initiative that funds incubators and vital medical equipment for hospitals. Since then, "Caps for the Future" has expanded nationwide, saving thousands of babiesand inspiring active civic engagement across Bulgaria.
The world we live in-the best one so far-was created by those before us, and it is our duty to make it even a little better for future generations.

THE WAVE OF CHANGE
Through the „Caps for the Future“ initiative, Lazar Radkov and hundreds of volunteers didn't just give thousands of babies a new chance at life; they also laid the foundation for an active civil society. Their dedication inspired countless people to believe that change is possible when we act together, and that each of us has the power to be a true hero in our community.

the MISSION
The film ,,Giants’’ was created with a clear purpose: all proceeds from ticket sales will be entirely donated to a cause.

DEFIBRILATORS
At the suggestion of ,,Caps for the Future”, our goal is to transform major Bulgarian schools into strategic points for immediate first aid. With the funds raised from ticket sales, we will purchase and install automated defibrillators, and doctors and paramedics will train hundreds of teachers on how to use them. This way, we're creating a network of first aid centers within schools and their surrounding areas.

MEDICAL KITS
We want every Bulgarian household to be prepared. That's why we're giving everyone the chance to donate funds and, in return, receive their own first aid kit, equipped with the essentials. ,,Caps for the Future” will make sure these vital kits reach every home.

Why We Do It
hristo and I have known Lazar long before ,,Caps for the Future.’’ For years, he tirelessly showed that small efforts from each person can lead to something great.

In 2022, during a campaign in Sofia, we decided to film what was happening—unscripted, simply guided by the feeling that it mattered. I had just become a father, and what I saw deeply moved me.I wanted to pass this example on—to my child and to others. I believe everyone can make a difference if they take action. With the film ,,Giants’’, we aim to tell a powerful story and show that a good example can change the world.

The most beautiful part of Lazar Radkov and ,,Caps for the Future’’ story is that they build a civil society not with words, but with actions-through mutual support, care for the environment, and saving thousands of lives.

As a storyteller, I believe stories should carry value — useful information and a lasting message. Documentary films allow these stories to be shown in their purest form. Sometimes they’re hard to find, but there are moments when the story itself demands to be told.,,Caps for the Future” is one of those stories — with clear value and real impact. The way it builds civil society and changes Bulgaria deserves to be seen.
